Senator Smucker Hosts Congressman Pitts at May 1st First Friday Open House 

Senator Lloyd Smucker (R-13) will hold an official Open House at his Lancaster district office located at 44 North Christian Street (beside Character’s Pub) Friday, May 1, 2009 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. 

On display will be the artwork of Congressman Joe Pitts (R-16).  The display will include a wide variety of genres including, woodcraft, sculpture, pencil sketches, and oil paintings.  Congressman Pitts will be available at the office to discuss his artwork and will sign prints for those interested in purchasing one.

“I am pleased to have Congressman Pitts visit my Lancaster office and display his works of art,” Smucker said.  “The arts play an important role in Lancaster City and First Fridays are a great time to experience the galleries, boutiques, shops and restaurants in the city.” 

The open house is free and open to the public.  This informal time will allow constituents to greet the Senator and become familiar with Senator Smucker’s office, staff and the services and materials available through the office.  Light refreshments will be served.
